Live, curriculum-aligned tutoring that inspires growth

At Kalvian Academy, our online tutoring services are driven by a simple goal:

Give students the tools, support, encouragement and inspiration they need to not only succeed in school but enjoy it.

Our virtual learning sessions are led by OCT-certified teachers who bring experience, structure and creativity into every class.

Your child’s 40-minute lesson will be interactive, focused and be alongside no more than 5-10 students per group. This small setting approach allows for every child to not only practice and develop skills but also connect, making the experience more interactive and fun while still making the progress you’ll want to see.

Our goal is to become a trusted partner in your child’s education as we currently support families in Markham, Toronto, Durham, and beyond, wherever learning happens in EST.

How We Teach

Founder’s Story

Keerthana Suthaparan

B.Ed, M.A., OCT

With over 12 years of classroom teaching experience, Keerthana brings both expertise and heart to Kalvian Academy. She is a certified teacher with the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) and holds a Bachelor of Education as well as a Master’s degree.

Throughout her career, Keerthana has specialized in Core French, English, and Math for Grades 4–8, helping students not only master curriculum expectations but also build lasting confidence in their abilities. She believes that every child deserves a safe and supportive space to grow, make mistakes, and discover the joy of learning.

Kalvian Academy was founded from this belief — that with the right guidance and encouragement, students can thrive academically and personally. Keerthana’s approach is structured, student-centered, and confidence-driven, ensuring that learners gain both the skills and self-assurance they need for long-term success.

When she isn’t teaching, Keerthana enjoys reading, writing and spending quality time with her family. She also enjoys creating engaging learning resources and celebrating those “Aha!” moments when everything clicks for her students.
